Reading Day #6

Frank and Louie the cat was born with two faces, two mouths, two noses, and three eyes. Janus cats usually don't survive, and most have defects, like a cleft palate that makes it hard for them to eat. The cat can see out of  two of his three eyes. The middle one can't even blink and makes Frank and Louie appear to be staring even when his other eyes are closed.

Reading Day #4

Chris Walton has been working on her fingernails for 18 years. Guinness World Records named Walton the woman with the longest fingernails on Wednesday. The Las Vegas woman helped kick off the 2012 edition of the Guinness World Records book, which goes on sale later this month.
Walton's nails measure 10-feet-2-inches on her left hand and 9-feet-7-inches on her right hand. She said she does her own nails and makeup and does household chores even though her nails twist and turn.
"I hate all the cleaning, but I do it. And the makeup, I only wear so much," said Walton, who has also been working on a singing career while raising a family.
The previous record holder for longest nails was Lee Redmond of Salt Lake City, according to the Guinness World Records website. Redmond's nails measured a total 28 feet in 2008 but she lost her nails in a car crash the following year, the site said.

I think our school needs more money. We can use the money for anything. Like air conditioning in every class room or less homework.

Reading Day #3

The teens ask if they can bring boys to the cabin. Some of the parents say yes. Others don't. I like the book so far. I hope it gets better as it goes along.

Blog #3 again

My weekend was so fun. I hung out with Savanna all weekend. We went and seen a movie, went bowling, shopping, stayed in a hotel with a hot tub in our room, and went rock climbing. We went to my dad's friend's pizzeria and had pizza and played pool. We went swimming at our hotel at 2 o'clock in the morning and the manager kicked us out and told us the pool was closed.

Green Day singer, Billie Joe Armstrong says his sagging pants cost him a seat on a Southwest Airlines flight. An ABC7 news producer who was on the same flight told the station that a flight attendant approached Armstrong as the plane was getting ready to take off and asked him to hike his pants higher. The producer, Cindy Qiu, says Armstrong initially responded by asking the attendant if there weren't "better things to do than worry about that?" But the attendant persisted and told Armstrong he could be ejected for his refusal to comply. When Armstrong insisted he was just trying to get to his seat, he and a traveling companion were taken off the plane. Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins released a statement saying Armstrong was allowed onto the next flight to Burbank and had told a customer relations agent who contacted him he had no further complaints.A University of New Mexico football player was arrested at San Francisco International Airport in June when he allegedly refused a U.S. Airways attendant request for him to pull up his low-riding pants and, later, the captain's order to leave the plane.

Reading Day #2

A Juneau, Alaska, woman says she knows it was stupid to punch a black bear in the snout to save her dog. But Brooke Collins says the attack happened so fast that all she could think about is keeping her dachshund, Fudge, from being killed. The 22-year-old says as soon as she let her dogs out Sunday, Fudge started barking and she saw the bear carrying him like a salmon. Collins said she did the first thing she thought of and punched the bear's face and scooped away her dog when it let go. The startled bear took off through bushes to a mountain. Fudge suffered some claw and bite marks, but they weren't deep. Collins says he appeared to be more shocked than injured.
